Joined Up Writing – Episode 10 – Philip K Dick Shortlisted Author, Rod Duncan

In this week’s show we were lucky enough to interview Rod Duncan, author of Steampunk/Alternate History novel, The Bullet Catcher’s Daughter. The book has been shortlisted for the Philip K Dick Award, the winner of which is announced on April 3rd at Norwescon in Seattle.

As well as getting the low down on Rod’s Gas-Lit Empire series, we also talked about his journey in to writing, his techniques to help him deal with dyslexia, tips on world-building and lots of other useful writing advice.

You can find Rod on Twitter @RodDuncan and delve in to the online world of the Gas-Lit Empire here. We wish Rod the very best for April 3rd.

The follow-up to Bullet Catcher’s Daughter – Unseemly Science – is released by Angry Robot on May 7th.
