Literary Agent Madeleine Milburn Interview – Joined Up#38

Top literary Agent, Madeleine Milburn from Madeleine Milburn Literary Agency joins us with loads of insight in to her job, how an agent can add value to your career and work – as well as helpful tips on getting out of the slush pile (or Talent Pool, as Madeleine describes it).

Madeleine is one of the UK’s top literary agents and runs her own Madeleine Milburn agency in London . Since graduating from the University of St Andrews with a degree in English Literature and Language in 2004, she’s worked for independent publishing company Trojan Books in Berlin and the oldest literary agency in the UK where she specialised in foreign rights.

Prior to having her own Agency, Madeleine was the Head of Rights and a Literary Agent at the most commercial agency in the UK, handling the rights to three No.1 bestsellers.  So she’s a busy lady with lots of experience and we were really pleased to have her on the show. You can find Madeleine on Twitter @AgentMilburn.
