Writer Interview with Laura Wilkinson – Joined Up #43

Episode 43 of the show brings us another special guest with writer, Laura Wilkinson who tells us about her latest novel, Redemption Song as well as a fantastic writer’s conference she’s helping to organize – Beach Hut Writing Academy in Brighton on March 12th. It was great to hear her writing journey, find out more about her process and pick up a few tips along the way.

Laura is yet another guest with an interesting CV. After gaining a degree in English Literature, she spent most of her 20’s as a professional actress, before becoming a copywriter and journalist. At some point she was bitten by the fiction bug and had some success with writing short stories before finally settling on novel writing with her debut book, Blood Mining in 2011. She hasn’t looked back, with a really successful second novel, Public Battles, Private Wars, before securing a 2 book deal with Accent Press which sees her latest book Redemption Song just released.
