It’s episode 83 with Sheena Kamal, a Canadian crime writer with a tough outsider heroine in Nora Watts. Sheena has an interesting backstory from a career in TV and Film, Research, through screenwriting and then on to a successful series of crime novels.
Sheena was born in the Caribbean and moved to Canada as a child. She holds an HBA in political science, and was awarded a TD Canada Trust scholarship for community leadership and activism around the issue of homelessness. She’s had a varied career including working as a film and TV extra, actor, researcher and even as a stunt double.
THE LOST ONES/EYES LIKE MINE as it is known the UK was her debut novel. The sequel IT ALL FALLS DOWN was just released by Zaffre in the UK in June 2018.
