It’s episode 126 with Laura Zigman author of new tragi-comic novel ‘Separation Anxiety’. Laura is funny, warm and insightful with a career that’s included a hit debut novel, a Hugh Jackman film, personal tragedy and ghost writing before she made an inspiring return to her own work. It was really fun to chat to Laura and it was a perfect tonic for these strange and uncertain times.
Laura is the author of Animal Husbandry (which was made into the film Someone Like You, starring Hugh Jackman), Dating Big Bird, Her, and Piece of Work. She’s been a contributor to the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Huffington Post; a ghost writer and she’s produced a popular online series of animated videos called Annoying Conversations which we mention during our chat;. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and her latest book, Separation Anxiety is out right now.
Her website is here and you can follow her on Twitter @LauraZigman
Here’s my latest music collaboration with George, as mentioned at the top of the show.
