It’s episode 150 with non-fiction author, Greg Milner who wrote the excellent ‘Perfecting Sound Forever’ and ‘Pinpoint’. He’s also got experience in journalism and writing for magazines, so aside from all the music stuff we had plenty of writing related stuff to chat about. One of the things Greg talks about is the fact that when it comes to Writing, and I guess a lot of other things in life, Nobody Knows What They’re Doing and it’s definitely something I can relate to of late.
Greg is a copywriter and editor with over two decades of experience, with a recent focus on geospatial issues. My latest book, Pinpoint: How GPS Is Changing Technology, Culture, and Our Minds, was named a best book of 2016 by Wired, The Financial Times, The Sunday Times, and strategy+business. I only recently finished his first book ‘Perfecting Sound Forever – an aural history of recorded music’ and I loved it. That book was a finalist in the National Book Critics Circle Awards. Both of his books are out right now everywhere you can find good books.
