It’s episode 165 with Karen Heenan, an historical fiction author who is making the move from traditional to indie publishing with her latest book. She’s got lots to say on that as well as what she’s learned over the course of three published books.
Karen was born and raised in Philadelphia. She fell in love with books and stories before she learned to read, and has wanted to write for almost as long. After far too many years in a cubicle, she set herself free to follow her dreams – which include gardening, sewing, traveling and, of course, lots of writing. She lives in Lansdowne, not far from Philadelphia, with four cats and a very patient husband. Her first two books were Songbird and A Wider World and her latest, Lady, In Waiting is out right now.
