It’s episode 169 with Paddy Crewe author of gripping new debut novel, ‘My Name Is Yip’. I chat to Paddy about how Wallace and Gromit proved to be the unlikely inspiration for his protagonist, his approach to research and why he thinks you can’t take any shortcuts with the creative process.

Paddy was born in Stockton-on-Tees. After swapping a passion for Sport for a love of writing, he studied at Goldsmiths, University of London. His first novel, My Name Is Yip, is published by Penguin on May 5th and available everywhere you can buy books.
