Unbound Crowdfunding with Debut Novelist Claire Handscombe

It’s episode 72 and today I’m talking to debut novelist, podcaster and crowd funder extraordinaire, Claire Handscombe. I’ve also got a new review from one of our dynamic duo of book bloggers, Victoria Goldman in Book Blogger’s Corner.

Claire Handscombe is a British writer who moved to Washington, DC in 2012, ostensibly to study for an MFA, but also because she’s a huge fan of The West Wing. She was recently longlisted for the Bath Novel Award, and her journalism, poetry, and essays have appeared in a wide variety of publications, including Bustle, Book Riot, Writers’ Forum, and the Washington Post. She is the host of the BritLit Podcast, which is great new fortnightly show featuring news and views from British books and publishing.

Follow Claire on Twitter @BritLitPodcast and be sure to check out her debut novel Unscripted at Unbound to see how you can get your hands on the book and support a new author.

Book Blogger’s Corner comes from show regular, Victoria Goldman. Victoria is a freelance health journalist and editor, as well as an avid book reviewer. She blogs at Off-the-Shelf Books, which features reviews and interviews with authors, publishers, editors and agents. You can also find her on twitter @VictoriaGoldma2 where she is always sharing quality content, so go look her up. Today she reviews Sweetpea by CJ Skuse.
