This show talks about genre writing. Why do certain genres get a bad rep from critics and the wider public?
Featuring an interview with Marc Hamill, writer and director of British Grindhouse film, The Wrong Floor. It’s Marc’s debut feature and he talks about his passion for his genre and why he thinks so called ‘trashy’ genres still need to be well written to keep your audience entertained.

Good interview, thanks for sharing, an interesting subject genres. I get fed up with folks looking down on us genre writers, and used to get quite upset, but I’m over that now, its each to their own, and there is a market for everything. you only have to look at the top TV charts.
Personally, I’ll mostly be found writing speculative fiction, crime or romance, and often cross genres! Reading wise, anything goes…
