It’s episode 123 with Kate Harrison. Kate has tons of experience, having written loads of books across multiple genres and within fiction and non-fiction. During the interview, I also asked Kate to critique my own query letter and let’s just say she gives me plenty of constructive feedback and lots of ways to improve. Hopefully, you can learn something from my mistakes. I’ve posted the query letter here – so you can take a look at what Kate had to work with.

Kate is the author of 20 fiction and non-fiction books, including The 5:2 Diet Book, The Secret Shopper’s Revenge, and the Soul Beach trilogy for teenagers. She also writes thrillers as Kate Helm and books for writers – with her latest being Pitch Power – Discover what makes your book irresistible and how to sell it, which is out right now.

Take a look at Kate’s website here and follow her on Twitter @KateWritesBooks You can also watch an interesting little film I made about Kate a few years ago – Life Of A Writer – on Youtube.
